The reward program at AutoZone has changed once again it seems like. Every visit I feel like something new is told to the customers and nothing is consistent. Either way when I did earn a reward, or free spending money, it seemed like it came at a random time and with no explanation.

Well now, you have to make five or more purchase of $20 or more in 12 months, this will earn you a $20 reward. So the little purchases really mean nothing towards points or an accumulating total. Kind of a bummer if you need to do a quick run for RTV or WD40, as these purchases mean nothing for your reward. I guess this setup is better than nothing, but still planning out your purchases is somewhat of a pain. We'll see how long this lasts before the next change or revision to the system.

Speedway is still the winner for earning points and freebies with basically any purchase. Hopefully they won't follow AutoZone and mess their system up too..
